
PMHS seniors Arman Brummett. Eloise McGibbon and Emily Walch were recognized by Rotary Club of the Pelhams as Marilyn Sttiefvater Scholars of the Month at an Oct.1 luncheon.
Introducing the students was Rotarian Sean Llewellyn, who is also principal.
Arman Brummett is an AP Scholar, president of the PMHS chapter of the National Honor Society, Vice President of the Math Honor Society, and a member of the Science, Social Studies, and English Honor Societies. He is a member of the Math Club, Model UN, Science Olympiad, Interact Club, Mandarin Club, and South Asian Heritage Club. He is also a varsity soccer and travel soccer player. In his spare time, Arman participates in volunteer work, is on the Islamic Leadership Council, tutors students in Chemistry and Mandarin, plays guitar, reads science fiction, and plays strategy games, including Dungeons and Dragons.
Eloise McGibbon is active in Science Research, athletics, and service. She has conducted research at the Yale New Haven Radiation Physics Lab and the NYU Langone Radiation Oncology Lab. Eloise is a Youth Representative for the Westchester County Youth Board, having been appointed by Representative George Latimer. She is the Founder and Youth Coordinator of the Tutoring Program at the Pelham Public Library, a member of the Pelham Together Youth Council, and a Junior Volunteer at Greenwich Hospital. Eloise is also a member of the PMHS golf and tennis teams, co-president of the Breast Cancer Awareness Club, co-president of the Women in STEM Club, and member of the Chemistry Club. In her spare time, she plays piano, works at Tig & Peach, and teaches a running class for elementary school children.
